Granny And Her Little Assistant
This month I visit my grandmother. I look forward to meeting her, even if she’s become a bit stubborn in her old age. I will not embarrass her by divulging her age, but let us just say she is a woman with thoroughly practiced wisdom.
The last time I saw her I brought my yamaha keyboard so I could perform some music for her. She enjoyed it, but unfortunately because she is not entirely there, she kept disrupting me to ask me how to clean computer screen. Yes, she really uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I am simply that weak at performing with the keyboard.
I always find something enigmatic at her house when I see her. Last time, I found many books on penny stocks on her cocktail table. My granny learning about trading penny stock? That’s bizarre. I wonder what I’ll find on her coffee table this year.
This week will make for an active sojourn. I must install her different Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then repair her garden carts. I additionally must take her old pots and pans to charity because she just purchased a fresh collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I am thankful, but I also must laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or use only the greatest of this or that.
If everything proceeds well, she will employ both to serve me some delicious java at dawn and ice cream in the evening. That sounds like more than pay back enough for my assistance. I’m happy to assist her for nothing, but a bit of robust coffee and tasty ice cream does not bother me.
