Colored Or White Diamonds Are Forever
Diamonds have been adored since ancient times and they remain as coveted as ever. It appears there is no sign these brilliant stones will ever lose their desirable status. While the popularity of different types and styles of jewelry comes and goes diamonds will forever be loved.
A certain type of diamond that has become remarkably popular recently is the fancy color diamond, particularly the browns and yellows. If you’ve seen a stunning natural diamond you will definitely know why.
In simple terms a fancy color diamond is a genuine diamond that has color. They have the same attributes, are made from the same components and have the same brilliant sparkle but instead of being white or colorless they have a color, ranging from light to intense. Some of these fancy color diamonds are created like this by nature in the surface of the earth, some are completely cultured, and some are raw diamonds that have their color enhanced in a laboratory. The natural colored diamonds are the most valued, but each of these colored gems have become very fashionable.
Colors like pinks and blues have always been more valuable, but of late the browns and yellows have won a great deal of attention. The browns and yellows were formerly seen as low color and not desirable for jewelry, rather they were usually utilized for industrial purposes. But these earthy colored stones have come a long way and as we are seeing celebrities wearing them at premiers they are holding their newly attained status.
These light and dark earthy gems work well with different skin and hair colors making them easy for anyone to wear with sophistication. These colored diamonds also work well with either gold or silver, and with the trend towards earthy styles and colors these dazzling beauties fit the bill. Whether they will remain as popular as they are today is still to be determined, but holding that diamond status will likely help them remain popular. As the saying goes “a diamond is forever”.
