Cattail Bird Feeders
There is something about seeing birds come down to a feeder during the different seasons that is very pleasant and relaxing. Indeed, it is so nice to be able to take a cup of coffee out onto your deck or patio and just appreciate the calming sounds of nature. Watching birds feeding in your yard and listening to their songs can be a very positive experience. When it comes to putting bird feeders in your back yard, there are various different varieties to choose from. There are also many different types of seed available depending on what birds you would like to feed. Putting a set of Cattail Bird Feeders in your yard or garden can be the perfect addition to making either area look great.
Generally, the type of seed that these feeders are best adapted for is black sunflower seed. When putting this into your Cattail Bird Feeders, you are likely to attract a wide display of birds. Some of the more common birds to visit will be Chickadees, Woodpeckers, Blue Jays and various song birds. Another kind of food that can be put into this type of feeder is peanuts. These will also attract the same types of birds as referred to earlier. Sitting back and watching the birds fly down to cling to the sides of the feeder and then enjoy some good seed is a very enjoyable experience.
One nice feature on the Cattail Bird Feeders is the ease of installing them. They usually come assembled and simply need to be staked into the ground. These feeders also look very nice when they are arranged in groups of three. This makes them resemble an actual clump of cattails even more. They are also very easy to refill when they get empty. The tops of the feeder will simply screw off and your chosen seeds can be placed right in. Depending on where you buy these feeders or what company makes them, they might be made of recycled material. Many companies try to do this with different types of feeders in order to be more environmentally friendly in the production process.
Finally, these feeders can stay in the yard or garden all year round. Even though most birds leave and fly south for the winter, the Cattail Bird Feeders can make an excellent decoration even during the winter months. Most of them are created to be weather and rust resistant, so there is no worry about leaving them out in the elements. If you are just starting out with installing bird feeders, these tips will be a great way to enhance your yard.
